Sunflower Seed Butter, Strawberry, Banana, Spinach, and non-dairy milk Smoothie
Doesn't sound appetizing? Well, you'd be surprised! It really just tastes like Sunbutter and Banana and those two flavors are excellent together.
Smoothies are not an exact science, I don't measure things out so these measurements are approximate. Just keep playing around until you find the right flavor for your family.
1 cup non-dairy milk (we use So Deliciious Unsweetened Coconut Milk)
1 6oz non-dairy yogurt, Plain or Strawberry Flavored (we use So Declicious Cocounut Yogurt)
1 banana
1 large handful of raw baby spinach
1/4 cup Sunflower Seed Butter (we use creamy Sunbutter)
2 cups frozen strawberries (thaw a few for easier blending)
1 TBSP of either flax seed, hemp seed, chia seed, or wheat germ
Throw it in the blender and mix it up! Makes about four cups.
***Remember that coconut is technically a tree nut. Be sure to check with your allergist before using coconut if your child is allergic to tree nuts.
