I came across Allergic Living magazine recently by stumbling onto their website.
I found many of their articles interesting and thought I would highlight a couple:
Inner City Allergy Rates Shock -- I found this interesting because it is often reported that food allergies are a middle- or upper-class problem. This article highlights the connections found in one study between inner-city kids with asthma and food allergies.
Transplant Transfuses Allergy -- About a woman who received a donor lung transplant and a peanut allergy along with it. I don't think I've ever even thought about the transplant process before this!
The publication originally started in Canada and has branched out to the US. The magazine is published four times a year and focuses on allergies, asthma, and gluten-free living.
While perusing another website, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, I came across a discount code for the magazine which makes the two-year subscription rate $19.99 rather than $29.99. To access this deal, visit the AAFA's website and there is a link right on the main page for Allergic Living magazine.
