Thanks to My Frugal Adventures for the heads-up on an awesome Foogo Thermos sale at Babies R Us, where you can get the 7oz Foogo cup for as low as $5.50! This is a long explanation, but bear with me....
The Foogo Stainless Steel Insulated Thermos’ are 50% off (only the cups, not the food storage) but ONLY through Sunday. They are $14.99 regularly, so at $7.50 this is the best deal I’ve ever seen. You can check out the line of Foogo insulated products here.
I love Thermos products. They eliminate the need for juice or milk boxes (which equals saving money!), and given that the straw cup model can keep drinks cold for 10 hours, anything your child doesn’t drink can come home to the fridge rather than go to waste.
I have been on the lookout for a Foogo deal. My son has a Funtainer, but at 12oz, it really is too big for a preschooler. I wanted a smaller Thermos for his preschool lunchbox and Foogo offers 7oz and 10oz.
One of the nice things about the Foogo line is that the lids are interchangeable. I prefer the straw cups (I find that the sippy cups leak too much liquid). But, the 7oz model only comes with a sippy lid. We have several Thermos products in our house, and recently I called Thermos and ordered replacement lids for each one (I needed one straw replaced...no lids are broken yet, but as often as they get thrown, it will happen eventually so I thought I’d order them all at once and save on shipping). They are very reasonable, around $2 or so for a replacement lid. Because of this, I had an extra straw top and am able to put that on the 7oz sippy I bought.
And now the REALLY good news. If you are in the market for one of these, and are interested in the 7oz version, I was able to pick one up for $5.50! That is an amazing price! The 7oz versions were on clearance for $10.98, and the sale took 50% off this clearance price!.
So, you may want to call your local BRU and check to see if you can get this clearance deal. But, even if you can’t, $7.50 is still a great price. If you are local to Richmond, the Broad St. BRU had several 7oz Foogo’s on clearance (in the clearance section to the left of the sippy wall), but they were all pink.
